About Faye Markos-Leach, Founder & CEO of HeyFaye in Flagler County, FL
Helping others is when I'm happiest
Helping others brings me a sense of purpose. I'm honored to provide dependable local support that helps seniors remain independent while giving their families reassurance and confidence.
Why Families Choose Faye Markos-Leach
Faye Markos-Leach started HeyFaye because she understands how important it is for seniors to remain independent. After her parents moved from Long Island to Flagler Beach, Faye felt obligated to move closer to them when everyday tasks became more difficult. Seeing how happy and relieved this made her parents and siblings feel, Faye had a vision to help other out-of-state families enjoy the same reassurance her siblings felt. Just knowing someone trustworthy is there to help was a weight off their shoulders.
Faye sympathizes that you can't always come rushing to your parents aide when menial tasks disrupt their daily lives. She wished someone could help her with her aging parents in Florida while raising her own family in New York.
The confidence you get knowing that someone who cares is local and available when you can't be there is invaluable. HeyFaye gives Faye Markos-Leach the opportunity and privilege to help senior citizens remain independent while relieving their out-of-state adult children of the guilt of not always being around.
With HeyFaye on your team, you can have guilt-free confidence that your parents are OK for less than the cost of a single airline ticket. Hiring an elder care concierge like Faye Markos-Leach means you don't have to spend thousands of dollars in airline tickets, hotels, lodging, take-out food, rental cars and gas. Vacations with the entire family no longer have to center around tending to your parents' honey-do list. Your kids don't have to miss school. You don't have to miss out on seeing them perform in school events. And you and your spouse don't have to burn valuable vacation days going back and forth to Florida every time the news says a hurricane may be heading for Flagler County, FL.

A Personal Note
When I was living on Long Island, my parents retired and moved to Florida. It worried me that they were moving so far away from family, but I was happy that they at least had each other. Before long, they were needing help with every day matters, and eventually I moved to Ocala to be closer. But Ocala was still too far, especially after my father passed away, and my mom was by herself for the first time in her life.
Having seen first hand how hard it was for my mom to be on her own, I decided to move to Palm Coast so I could help her with every day errands and tasks. Most seniors don't want someone to take over their lives - they simply want a little extra support so they can conntinue enjoying the retirement they spent their whole lives building.
I created HeyFaye because I believe every family deserves the peace of mind that comes from knowing someone caring and dependable is living nearby.
Frequently Asked Questions

Do you provide medical care?

No. HeyFaye does not provide medical care or personal care. I help with everyday tasks and coordination so your loved one can remain independent in their homes, delaying the need for a retirement home until medical care is required.

Will I work directly with Faye?

Yes. You will always communicate and work directly with me. I do not use a call center, nor do I have an outside staff. I tend to all matters personally during my scheduled visits and calls.

Do you attend appointments?

No. I do not attend appointments or personally drive them to the appointment, but I can schedule the appointments, send reminders, and arrange transportation, like Uber. I can also be there personally for appointments of any nature that are at your parents' home.

Is this like home healthcare?

No. HeyFaye is not a medical provider or a residential facility. I provide non-medical support to help seniors live independently in their homes. Think of me as of having a sibling nearby to handle non-medical emergencies and knowing when it's officially time to get extra help.

Is it OK I don't live in Florida?

I started HeyFaye for adult children concerned about their elderly parents living alone in Florida while they continue living their own lives in another state. Many of my clients live out of state, and I provide support and updates to them for less than the cost of a single plane ticket.

How often will I receive updates?

Update frequency depends on the plan you choose. Once that's established, I'll work with you to determine a reliable schedule of visits, errands and updates that will bring you peace of mind knowing your parents are in good hands whe you can't be there to help every day.
If your parent lives in Palm Coast, Flagler Beach or Ormond Beach, HeyFaye can help with numerous tasks like making medical appointments, arranging home repairs, grocery shopping and unloading, pharmacy pickups, bringing in packages, managing deliveries, sending greeting cards to grandkids and other everyday errands—while keeping you informed every step of the way.
